Arizona’s Gila River Leader Says Lack of Broadband is Harming Tribal, Rural Areas

Last Wednesday the governor of the Gila River Indian Community emphasized to a House panel the pressing need for improved broadband access in tribal areas, highlighting the significant opportunities it offers for economic development, education, and healthcare. Witnesses cited barriers such as high costs and population density, while urging for innovative solutions to bridge the digital divide.
